Warts on Face

Warts can form on every part of your body and they can be very difficult to remove especially when they grow on the face or the neck. They are a very common skin infection and they are not dangerous if treated in time. Warts on face are small raised bumps which have a color that ranges from red/ pink to yellow/brown. They are caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV) and they should not be touched or scratched if you want to avoid spreading the virus on yourself or to others.

What causes facial warts

Infections from facial warts are very common because they are very easy to spread. The are two possible ways for the virus to move from a person to another. One is through direct contact that is touching someone infected. The other possibility is through indirect contact when you get the virus using, for example, a towel or skin products which have been previously infected. This is why you should be very careful when you share this kind of personal object.

The HPV, which is the virus behind warts on face, is not dangerous but it is extremely contagious. Once you are infected with warts you should remove them immediately because even if they are not harmful to your health the virus can be easily spread to the rest of your body or to other people. In case you accidentally touch any warts on your face I strongly recommend washing your hands to avoid any possible self-contamination or to infect things around you.

How to get rid of warts on face

There are a number of way to remove a wart on face. The most common treatment is salicylic acid. This acid is used on warts to peel away the infected skin. You will have to use it for several weeks and the side effects are many (burning/dry/reddening skin). The main issue with this treatment is you have to apply it on a very sensitive area. Also, facial warts cause already a lot of embarrassment and having your skin peeling away it is not going to be very pleasant.

Another possible solution is cryotherapy which allows to freeze the warts and make them to fall off. The treatment has to be done for several times and it can lead to damage nerve cells or to scarring. In addition, the procedure is not only very expensive but it can also causes infection. What I suggest is you take a moment before having any one of these treatments because they can have a serious impact on your skin and still do not eliminate the HPV from your body. But what if I tell you there is a way to remove the virus permanently from your body and to remove your warts without using procedure that can harm your skin?
